It was a dreary day - actually this was two weeks ago - we drove to the canyon because I wanted to take photos of the little spot of green in the midst of the winter ice and snow. It is the prettiest place - right before the Wood Camp turnoff - on the south side of the road. There's a warm spring that flows up from the ground and all around there are mossy green rocks and living thriving plants. It's a paradox - a disconnect in the legendary cold of Logan Canyon. That's what makes it so delightful.
I wish I had taken a photo of Scott without the dog. I never was and never wanted to be a 'dog owner' and having a dog in my photos is just a little too 'doggy' for my taste. Maybe I'm jealous...look at how Scott loves that dog.
